BJP corporator Shatrughan Kakade from Kharghar has been booked for demanding Rs 50k extortion from the owner of newly opened Hotel Shahi Bawarchi in sector 4. After he denied, the corporator deliberately picked up a quarrel with him over parking vehicle and assaulted the owner. Corporator and his 15 men barged into hotel and even assaulted the staff when he went to call the police over phone. The incident occurred on Friday night.The hotel owner has fractured his nose and vomitted blood due to assault by corporator and his men.
