Is Religious Appeasement Leading India To The Third Wave of Covid
Mumbai,29th July,2021, India’s Covid 19 case load may have seen a drop and recovery rate may have been increasing but all this can change suddenly and Case’s may shoot up anytime !
Why ? The religious appeasement policy of states is giving nightmares to the Central Government. First the Tablighi Jamat, then Kumbh Mela and now again the Eid Celebrations, though the Kanwar Yatra was cancelled this year,it took a intervention from the Supreme Court which paved the way for it.
As the festive season approaches, India is at a juncture where a straight impact could be on the Covid 19 cases which may see a sudden surge like what happened during the deadly Second wave,which left people grappling with Oxygen shortage and Bed Availability.
Though in terms of Preparation, India may be considering itself as well prepared in case the third wave hits, but the current situation where 50% of India’s Covid 19 cases are from Kerala which allowed Eid celebrations with very little restrictions.
All religious festivals are now lined up in India back to back, which in turn will lead to more people venturing out in crowded places, which again may lead to a surge in cases.
We hope good sense will prevail and people will understand from what theyust have seen during the second wave or religious appeasement will take India in to the list of being the highest Contributor of Covid cases in the world.
