Infrastructure of a city defines it’s development, but what happens when in the name of it Municipal corporations play in to the hands of Builder’s.
Residents of Siddhivinayak Marg Bhayandar west in Mira Bhayandar are facing anarchy & Fraud Of MBMC in which even the elected representative of citizen’s have manipulated and betrayed citizen’s.
In the name of increasing a road width a proposal is moved in the standing Committee by a local corporator as per rules, but as per guidelines of the Municipal corporation Act objections of Citizen’s are not even heard under sec 210, instead standing Committee diverts it on then Commissioner of MBMC Mr. balaji Khatgaonkar, who in turn discreetly approves the proposal stating the standing has approved it.
What happened next is more shocking a new Commissioner namely Dilip Dhole, who was earlier the PA of current Maharashtra CM Mr. Eknath Shinde comes in as a Commissioner and after the term of Corporators ended became a Administrator, and implemented a illegal decision taken by Ex Commissioner Mr. balaji Khatgaonkar who co-incidentally is now with the CM of Maharashtra Mr. Shinde🤫, Anyone surprised ? 🤔, A lot of rules & norms were flouted by Ex Commissioner Dilip Dhole even in implimentation of a fraud approved by his predecessor 🤫. Mr. Dilip Dhole got transferred the day he received a Notice from Enforcement Directorate 🤨
Have you ever heard reduction of road width in the name of road widening, that too a 25 yr old road which has all utilities on it and maintained by the corporation! ,but is not a Municipal Corporation road and not even in the DP !! Well if not then here is Siddhivinayak marg who’s width has been reduced on the name of widening it !!
A area which faces persistent water logging up to 3 ft every year from past 20 yrs not because it’s a low lying area but because MBMC PWD has directed gutters of around 1.5 kms of the vicinity i.e.approximately 200 buildings in to that area which leads to its flooding every year , what impact will it have if the road width is reduced ? Citizens of the are are facing losses of lakhs every year due to Criminal Negligence of MBMC PWD.
Despite rules of land acquisition acts clearly stating if a land has gone in road cutting and if the land owner files a objection within 3 months he can claim FSI / TDR for it, that too the first owner and here in this case this is a 2nd owner ( the first owner had never filed any objection of his land gone in road cutting) but a political boot licker who also co-incidentally was a PA to a Parent Minister of thane district in Maharashtra Decides to buy that land for constructing a building,but uses another builder as a front as a silent partner in the project,so a clear manipulation and Political connection why the manipulation is done and for whom is visible of the Municipal authorities, where even the measurement of the road has been taken at 0 distance from existing buildings on opposite side to fit in a building of a builder & political boot licker , More over as per law a road which should be 12 Meters minimum (existing max width is 15.5 mtrs) is reduced to 9 mtrs to favour whom ? despite buildings on the opposite side of the same plot on the same road have their own boundary wall visible in plans, but not made due to existing road, which proves who’s doing what from MBMC.
Favours for builders and betrayal of citizen’s are they done for free ? it’s for the readers to understand, but the citizens of Siddhivinayak Marg,in Bhayandar west have vowed to fight this out till the last breath and not allow a illegal takeover of road, how the CM and UDD headed by him now undoes a wrong doing is what the residents want to see .
One thing is clear,Citizens need to stand up and fight back for their rights or Politicians and bureaucracy will leave no chance for manipulating it.
Residents of affected area approached Sr. Advocate and Founding Head of NGO Bharat Utthan Sangh Mr. Rakesh Singh who is well known for working for Public Causes and downtrodden,with initiatives like Khana Chahiye Foundation which fed people during the Pandemic of Covid and still works for feeding the needy everyday through Community Kitchens. He and his team were also felicitated by Governor of State of Maharashtra for his NGO’s work during COVID-19.
Sr Advocate Mr Rakesh Singh agreed to take up the Case after finding merit in the demands of the residents of Siddhivinayak Marg and has moved a Writ Petition in Bombay High Court and hearing of the case is all set to begin in October,which mark the beginning of A Fight for the Truthful Rights of Citizens.
