RTI activist Anil Galgali had sought information from the Mumbai Police to inform the Mumbai Cricket Association about the security provided for various cricket matches and the settlement fee charged for the same. Mumbai Police informed Anil Galgali about the matches that took place in the last 8 years. In these matches, Women’s World Cup of 2013, World Cup T20 of 2016, Test match in 2016, IPL of 2017 and 2018, Rs 14 crore 82 lakh 74 thousand 177 rupees for ODI matches have not been paid by the Mumbai Cricket Association so far. Mumbai Cricket Association has paid the fee of 1.40 crores only for the IPL cricket match of 2018 in the last 8 years. Mumbai Police has claimed that till now Mumbai Police has sent 35 reminders to the President of Mumbai Cricket Association. Interest will be charged at 9.5 percent on this outstanding amount.
The fee for the cricket match held from 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020 has not yet been recovered because the Maharashtra government has not yet issued an order on how much fee to be charged. Mumbai Police has corresponded 9 times to the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department regarding this matter but the sluggish Home Department is not responding.

Anil Galgali has written a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil and Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, demanding that an FIR should be registered against the Mumbai Cricket Association for non-payment of dues and the property of the association was confiscated by the District Magistrate. start the process.
