World over Businesses had started picking up and again right at end of the year during peak business season across the world a new Covid-19 variant Omicron has hit the world,India also is not left out and cases have started popping up of the new Omicron Variant across India, Maharashtra again tops the list of new variant Case’s.
After reviewing the Covid-19 situation across states and Union Territories, the Centre on Thursday asked respective governments to consider imposing local restrictions ahead of the festive season. States were advised to be vigilant and monitor case positivity, doubling rate, and clusters of new cases across districts.
Delhi has already banned all festivities for Christmas and New year, all states are expected to follow suite,with curbs expected again businesses are again going to take a hit if the Omicron variant turns out to be more deadlier considering the high number of spike proteins found in it,though till now it seems to be milder but it needs a lot of study on it which will take some more weeks to understand the long term effects on humans.
Till then Citizens don’t need to let their guards down, a covid fatigue is obvious but may make the citizens a heavy price like the Delta+ variant which was deadlier across the world and if Omicron turns out to be more deadlier than the world is again set for another lockdown and the worst may be yet to come, so be safe and follow Covid protocols and hope the pandemic is at its end soon.
