The TRP scam has been making a lot of Noise on some News Channels, whereas there has also been a big question mark on the Mumbai Police Commissioner Mr.Param Bir Singh’s Press Briefing on this issue because in the Court the things were said something different !!
On the other hand a FIR was filed in UP in a similar TRP scam by UP Police and CM of UP Yogi Adityanath handed over the case to the CBI for investigation,It’s understood that any similar case handled by CBI , CBI will have all its jurisdiction to take over all such cases but Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray immediately turned it around today !!
Maharashtra govt withdrew the “general consent” granted to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), curtailing CBI’s powers in Maharashtra without prior permission. Which means CBI will now have to approach the Maha govt for permission for investigation on a case by case basis specially the TRP Case in current scenario !
In the SSR Case as per Supreme Court Direction’s Maharashtra Government was at the receiving end as it had no options but to handover the case to CBI, taking cue from that, it’s clear that Maharashtra Government has taken this step and removed the general consent.
It seems Vendetta Politics and Tit-for-Tat is at Play from the side of Center And Maharashtra Government and target is Republic TV Chief Arnab Goswami whom the Center seems to be backing and Maharashtra CM and Maharashtra Police are hitting back now.

Police Dept is just a Law Regulator it’s a implementer of rules not a Rule Maker, but unfortunately what it seems this time is the implimenter is giving it back to someone who has been targeting them by asking some very difficult questions !!!
Be it Palghar Lynching of Sadhus or be it SSR Case or be it the drug nexus in Mumbai its not a hidden truth , the drug mafia already exists from long time but the way Politics has been on ,its the image of the Mumbai Police which has been put under a clout by Arnab Goswami who has been ferociously Vocal and has been aggressively taking on the Maharashtra Government and specially the Mumbai Police Commissioner to task.
The BJP led Central Government has been looking at an opportunity Politically to give it back to it’s old Ally Shivsena both be it BJP or be it Shivsena are trying to make a point and trying to show each other down Center using CBI and Maharashtra Government using Mumbai Police as it’s pawn is unacceptable.
Let the Law enforcement agencies do their work independently but that seems difficult in India as neither earlier regimes nor the current regime really look serious in the freedom of our agencies be it State or be it Center where agencies have become pawns of Politics.
